DG SANTE -Meeting and Webinar on actions to prevent tail biting and reduce tail docking of pigs

Description

The European Commission Directorate General for Health and Food Safety is organised a three day meeting 4-6th October 2016 at the offices of its Health and Food Audit and Analysis Directorate in Ireland on actions to prevent tail biting and reduce tail docking of pigs. It was delivered by experts from industry, Member State Competent Authorities, research bodies, EU institutions and NGOs with the aim to exchange information on good practice and develop better solutions for the future. The work of the EU FareWellDock project was presented at this meeting.
