A short presentation to an invited audience of stakeholders at the Moredun Institute during visit by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal. The presentation considered the scale of the UK livestock sector in value and number of animal terms, considers the cost of livestock to the wider environment (in particular GHGs), examples of SEFARI institutes research and using BVD eradication programme in Scotland how science, Government and industry can work collaboratively to improve animal health with positive environmental and income benefits.
