Description

A trade press article on changing agricultural support and why suckler beef production is front and centre in the Government's eyes.  Some initial thoughts in the immediate impacts of the Covid lockdown are provided. Data from analysis of cattle registrations and movements data (Cattle Tracing System) to help provide insights in to the structure and concentration of the sector, as well as the slaughter age profile of prime stock - issues that the new Suckler Beef Climate Group (led by Jim Walker) are focusing on.
