    Description

Our molecular biology suite is used for work microbial and fungal genetics and genomics, and currently hosts research, teaching, and consultancy work in the veterinary sciences, agronomy, and food safety. The laboratory is based in the Ferguson Building in Aberdeenshire and is part of the Food Security Challenge Centre.

We have the facilities and equipment to support:

    · Nucleic acid extraction and purification

    · Nucleic acid quantification

    · PCR and Real-time PCR

    · Fluorometric assay

    · Gel electrophoresis

    · Spectrophotometry

Through collaboration we have access to additional facilities and resources for molecular investigations. For further information or to be connected with the resources you require, please contact [email protected]
