Research interests

Bethan is an agriculture and food researcher with expertise in the socioeconomics of agricultural production and food consumption. Her interests lie in what motivates behaviour change and the evaluation of its impact using quantitative modelling techniques from economics and psychology. She has expertise in the development and analysis of theory-based behaviour change surveys and experiments as well as the analysis of larger scale administrative data. Bethan has strong analytical skills and can apply a range of statistical and machine learning approaches to data analysis and present findings to a wide variety of audiences.

Prior to her PhD Bethan worked as a management consultant in a range of project management and analytical roles with clients in international development, finance, and government, managing diverse and remote teams.
