Research interests
Bethan is a food and agriculture researcher with expertise in statistical analysis for the social sciences. Her work focuses on understanding, motivating and evaluating changes that can have positive social and environmental impacts including as changing diets, reducing food waste and adopting new technology.
She is currently a post-doctoral researcher on a Horizon 2020 project investigating the adoption and impact of low-input, ecosystem-based farming across the EU (www.lift-h2020.eu) and has recently worked on the preventing food waste workstream of the Scottish Government Strategic Research Programme 2016-2021.
Prior to returning to academia Bethan worked as a management consultant in a range of project management and analytical roles with clients in international development, finance and government.
