Research interests
My research interests are focused on how the environmental and socioeconomic outcomes of farming decisions can be quantified, compared, and improved in the context of sustainability transitions. Key interests include:
- Silvopastoral agroforestry systems and the drivers of their adoption in tropical and temperate contexts
- Voluntary carbon market mechanisms for leveraging widespread adoption of agroforestry and other regenerative agricultural techniques
- Soil organic carbon dynamics and their treatment in farm-level carbon models
- Methodological comparison of farm-level GHG calculators
- Agricultural carbon accounting and emissions quantification across UK farming systems
- Carbon credit integrity, additionality, and permanence risks in soil-based carbon projects
