Personal profile

Research interests

I am based at SRUC Barony Campus where I started in 2002 as a workshop technician and then moved on to becoming an Instructor. In 2019/20 I became a Lecturer in the engineering department.

I originally served my apprenticeship with an agricultural engineering company in Ayrshire before moving down to Dumfriesshire and starting at Barony.
I have always had an interest in engineering and at a young age I could be found with a spanner in my hand. The family business is agriculture and racehorses, so it was a very different route for me to become an agricultural engineer never mind becoming a lecturer.
