Research interests

I am interested in all aspects of crop protection with special focus on Integrated Pest Management of nematode pests of economic crops.  I am also passionate about promoting plant and soil health for sustainable agriculture and food security. My research interests include; Nematology, Plant & Soil Health, Biocontrol and Integrated Pest Management.

Personal profile

I have a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Agricultural Science, Master’s degree (MSc) in Crop Protection and a Ph.D. in Nematology. I also had postdoctoral research experience (2016-2022).  I was a recipient of NRF/ TWAS postdoctoral fellowship, Nuffic Schorlarship and also a recipient of the African Collaboration Grant (ACG). I have have mentored or supervised both undergraduate and postgraduate students at various stages in my career and facilitated knowledge exchange programmes. I have also published many peer-reviewed academic publications

Teaching

I have more than 10 years teaching experience in Higher Education teaching courses in Agriculture, Horticulture and Biological Sciences.
