Research interests

My interests focus on fungal plant pathogens, particularly their biology and control. I investigate the use of biological control agents and elicitors to control plant pathogens in horticultural and agricultural sectors.   


I deliver teaching for the following SRUC modules:

  • Plant Protection: Integrated Approaches (Horticulture)
  • Organic Production Systems
  • Plant Biotic interactions
  • New Perspectives in Plant Protection

2017 – 2021: Biological control of Armillaria root rot using endophytic Trichoderma species.
