Consultancy

Iain joined SAC Consulting in January 2015 and his role involves the delivery of environmental consultancy in multi-disciplinary projects across the Environment Team. Iain’s work and educational experiences have provided him with detailed knowledge of topics relevant to the environmental, energy and agricultural sectors.

• Data analysis and collection, including site work and surveying.
• Report writing, knowledge exchange and digital media.
• Conducting research and analysis.
• Emissions modelling and assessment – odour, noise, particulates and ammonia.
• Climate change mitigation and adaptation.
• Environmental permitting including Pollution Prevention and Control (PPC).
• Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).

Projects

Climate Change Adaptation for Agriculture
UIF project to provide advice and guidance to agriculture on adapting to climate change. Collaborated with Adaptation Scotland to produce guidance document and checklist.  

Farm Advisory Service
Knowledge exchange and digital media output as part of FAS delivery programme. Producing videos, podcasts and webinars for a range of natural capital, climate change, rural diversification and agricultural topics.

Rural developments and planning applications

Planning support, environmental assessments and expert advice for development of whisky storage warehouses, poultry farms and commercial buildings, including major planning applications.
