Working within SRUC’s Rural Policy Centre, James provides policy responsive research to inform Scottish and UK land use policy. His research takes in land reform, nature finance and sustainable practice uptake – applying economic and behavioural frameworks to understand decision- making and analyse market drivers. He has experience conducting quantitative and spatial analysis, qualitative inquiry, and evidence synthesis to inform policy decisions.
