Personal profile

Research interests

My research interests centre on cattle production, with a particular focus on improving health, welfare, and production efficiency through enhanced management practices and effective knowledge transfer. Alongside this, I have a strong interest in the social sciences and interdisciplinary research, especially in the area of behavioural change. I am motivated by understanding how farmer attitudes, decision‑making processes, and communication strategies influence the adoption of best practice within the livestock sector.

In my role as an agriculture lecturer, I teach across a wide range of levels, from National Certificate through to Masters programmes. I have supervised numerous Honours projects, supporting students as they develop their research skills and contribute to applied agricultural inquiry. This combination of teaching, supervision, and research allows me to integrate scientific, social, and practical perspectives to support sustainable and progressive cattle production systems.
