I am a Research Associate at SRUC’s Beef and Sheep Research Centre, where my research focuses on greenhouse gas and ammonia emissions modelling and mitigation, as well as applying precision livestock farming technologies to enhance the sustainability of ruminant production systems. I am also heavily involved in the day-to-day running of GreenCow, our respiration chamber facility.

I completed my PhD at Bangor University in 2024, funded by KESS2 and Hybu Cig Cymru (Meat Promotion Wales), which explored pathways for Welsh beef and sheep farms to achieve net zero. More recently, I completed a Land Use for Net Zero (LUNZ) fellowship with DEFRA, applying a systems approach to net zero modelling. Alongside my research, I am a member of the LUNZ Hub Scotland team and serve on the British and Irish Society of Animal Science Sponsorship and Awards Committee.

I deliver a few lectures every year to BSc Agriculture students on greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture. I have also supervised honours project students.
