Robert Paterson

Based at Barony Campus, I am responsible for the delivery and teaching of all land-based engineering courses in this area.

I grew up on the family farm and have had a very keen interest in engineering and mechanisation from an early age. Once qualified as an agricultural engineer, I spent a good number of years working in the agricultural engineering industry gaining extensive knowledge and experience on a broad range of machinery from different manufacturers.

I have worked at Barony and SRUC for a considerable number of years, working my way up through the teaching team during this time. Having returned just recently to take up the post of Programme Team Leader, my aim is to pass on my enthusiasm and passion for the industry to the next generation.
