Personal profile

Research interests

Research interests include improving livestock health through breeding and making best use of data from available national sources to create new traits for genetic evaluations. Research has involved mastitis, lameness, fertility, paratuberculosis, liver fluke, culling risks, carcase measurements and abattoir condemnations. My work is based on data mining and the merging of large national datasets such as from BCMS, milk recording organisations and abattoir measurements.
