Genomics of sheep resilience to climate change

Project Details

Description

Resilience phenotypes were developed on Scottish Blackface sheep under a previous project. These phenotypes reflect growth resilience of lambs in response to changing weather conditions. Genome-wide animal genotypes (50K SNP) are also available. In the proposed project, genotypic and phenotypic records will be jointly analysed to determine the genetic background of animal resilience to climate change.
