Overcoming barriers to breeding against harmful social behaviours to improve animal welfare

We will use video images of animal behaviour provided by the commercial partner together with automatically generated location data of animals within the pen. The project will test whether proximity derived from location data can indicate engagement in harmful social behaviour. If so, the location data may allow breeding against such behaviours.
