Description

The aim is to improve the quality, consistency and accessibility of environmental impact data for food and agricultural products, and will enable the development of more accurate, robust lifecycle analysis and carbon foot-printing food and more accurate reporting of the environmental impact of the agri-food sector. 
Data from SRUC will be used to calculate environmental impacts of milk production such as carbon emissions. Variables required include animal numbers, milk yields, milk composition, body weight, and fertiliser, fuel and feed use.
