The fungal milk microbiome of dairy cattle and its implications on mastitis

Project Details

Description

The fungal microbiome of bovine milk differs, dependent on intramammary infection status and level of antibiotic usage. This could have an impact on their reinfection status or tendency to develop clinical mastitis. This work will explore the base milk microbiome of healthy, clinical and subclinical mastitis infected cows with a focus on fungal microbiome.
