Abstract
While bivalves are known to be prone to neoplastic changes, the situation remains inconclusive for other molluscan species like gastropods. In this case report, we offer the first detailed histopathological description of a malignant transformation found in the common garden snail Cornu aspersum to contribute to the research on neoplasia in invertebrates. Based on our findings, we conclude that the observed tumour is most likely a gonadal neoplasm.
