A proposed enterprise education framework for Scotland: A discussion paper

Abstract

As part of Scotland’s Colleges, Enterprising Colleges: Enterprising Learners project it was identifiedthat, in the drive to increase both the awareness and uptake of enterprise education across Scotland,it would be helpful to utilise a general understanding of the essential enterprise capacities whichevery FE and HE learner should aim to develop. Grounded in Gibb’s (2007)1 learner-centred approachto enterprise education, two key learning capacities are recommended in this paper and linked to theScottish Credit Qualifications Framework (SCQF).
