Abstract

Fruits are essential to a balanced diet, offering key vitamins, minerals, and fiber that support overall health. Successive UK governments have introduced multiple policies to boost fruit and vegetable consumption. Despite these efforts, research shows that fruit intake in Scotland continues to fall short of recommended levels. This study examines whether eco-labels and sensory descriptive labels can enhance the appeal of Scottish strawberries among UK consumers.
