Abstract

This presentation examines the potential of small-scale aquaculture to support sustainable rural livelihoods in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. It draws on field research with emerging farming communities to assess market access barriers, infrastructure constraints, and the role of extension services in supporting aquaculture adoption among smallholder producers.
