Abstract

1. A novel method, based on Delphi, develops a tool for monitoringsustainable upland estate management This is based upon collaborativework between a range of land management professionals, researchers andpolicy-makers.2. The work challenged participants to develop shared ideas and solutionsfor tackling sustainable management.3. There is considerable scope for this method to be used in other situationswhere building consensus around sustainable resource managementpractices is problematic.
