Abstract

This report examines the potential impacts on greenhouse gas emissions as accounted for in the UK National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory for agriculture in Scotland if the suckler beef sector improves technical efficiency. The report look as at realistic potential emission reductions from measures such as improved suckler cow fertility and productivity as well as adoption of technology (such as methane inhibitors) whilst maintaining beef production levels
