Abstract
This guidance note provides information on the use of audio digital devices together with sound analysis software for the monitoring of birds and bats in the UK. The guidance is based on a case study where AudioMoths (a type of digital audio device) together with BirdNET analyzer and Kaleidoscope Pro software were used to monitor bird and bat activity across a range of upland habitats on a Scottish hill farm.
